All Party Alliance : ウィキペディア英語版 | All Party Alliance The All Party Alliance was a political party in the United Kingdom. It was founded in January 1966〔Man of Mystery, Ian Millsted, Journal of Liberal History, Issue 57, Winter 2007-08〕 by the well-known writer John Creasey. Its main policies were a national government by the best members of each party, and the running of industry by councils including workers, managers, investors and the government as a means to avoid industrial action. He saw this as a path to prosperity and the eventual elimination of income tax. The organisation was relaunched in 1972 as Evolution to Democracy (Evo), which was also the name of Creasey's book setting out his ideas for All-Party Alliance and Alliance in Industry. In 1973, with John Creasey seriously ill, Evo merged with Colin Campion's "The Organisation", a Yorkshire-based party which advocated coalition government based on the proportion of votes cast for each party.〔F. W. S. Craig, ''Minor Parties at British Parliamentary Elections''〕 The reconstituted party was named the Independent Democratic Alliance. Following Creasey's death later that year, IDA became preoccupied with the anti-Common Market tradition rather than the original ideals of Creasey. IDA stood candidates in the February 1974 general election - but not with conspicuous success. The party faded away thereafter. ==References==
